Farm field trip

{c}'s class had a field trip to a local farm. {n} is all about having his photo taken right now...because then he can *see* it after. The joy of digital! At the farm they looked at dead bugs, planted beans, and took a tractor ride. And no, we do not have purple cows here...I just had a little fun in Photoshop. Why keep them boring brown? (And I can't really turn my kids purple, now can I?) ;)

Birthdays

April is a busy busy month for our family....both our boys have birthdays at the end of the month. And so do two other families we know. So that is 6 birthday parties ALONE in the span of 2 weeks. Add to that the other random 7 b.d.parties we had, and I think that adds up to way too much cake during April.

So instead of a party this year, {c} celebrated his birthday (a month late!!--bad mommy!!) with his BFF {a}. I took them to Build-A-Bear and to dinner at micky-d's, and then we rented a Diego movie and had popcorn after his all-chocolate birthday cake, then they had a sleepover. {c} didn't end up falling asleep until 10, after moving him to the den...and {a} said that {c} woke her up 3 times, but other then that I think it was a sucess!! He even got a cool new Lego set...for him, it is ALL about the Legos right now. And yes, you DO see a pink bear in a Superman costume. He reaaaaallly wanted the pink bear, and I was a little nervous until he chose the Superman outfit for *pinkypie* (ummm...his name for his new bear....again, supporting his decisions...whatever they may be...) Fun side note: we ran into my friend {C}, who was there with her daughters and her mom, celebrating {t}'s 7th birthday. She is a good mommy--it was {t}'s birthday the next day. lol.

{n}'s party was actually before his birthday...it just took me awhile to get to the photos. ;). {S} and I had a great idea to share our littlest's birthdays at the same time...at a bouncy house!! My {n} was sick that day, so he mostly hung out with daddy. The kids all had so much fun! {S} found matching Cars shirts for the birthday boys--they were adorable! Bouncing and running, cupcake Cars cake, pizza and juice, and an inflatable birthday throne...what more could a 3 year old want? Yay! And the best part?? NO mess at either of our houses.... 3 cheers for bouncy house parties!!

*Trying not to use names here...mostly to protect the innocent....lol. I got the idea from my friend {T}, who does it on her blog. I am a copycat. ;)

*My logo was made by the fabulous and multi-talented {S}. I just love it. Within a few years, I hope to have a small on-location photography business up and running. I hope. I don't have anything even remotely started on that dream.....except a logo. Did I mention that I love it?

*You might see this aforementioned logo plastered across upcoming photos here on the blog. It is not because I love my logo (even though I do.) There are evil people out there that steal photos from the net and claim them as their own. (Bad people....go take your own photos!) So, if I *think* that a photo *might* be good enough to steal, then I will logo the heck out of it.

Silly

Mothers' Day Tea at {c}'s preschool

So here we are...{c} made me a photo frame, and decorated a plant pot. The kids also did placemats, with fill-in-the-blank areas. He did pretty well! He got my age right, as well as my favorite food (chocolate--his too!) He even sang all the songs with his class! (That never would have happened before this year...he would have just stood up there....)

Here he is with his beloved Teacher {C}. She is amazing. When he was asked why he liked his teacher, he replied "because she has freckles"... ha! So cute...we will miss her next year.

Ummmm... what can I say??....they get tired of me taking photos of them ALL THE TIME. Can you say..."photographer's kid syndrome??" (Actually, this one is kind of fun. I spared you of all the other *out-takes* that were just sooooo not them...)

We will miss taking this trip with {S} and {n} and {c} next year. They are moving to London this week for 2 loooooooooooooong years. *sniff* They'll be back to visit....thankfully. And the kids will have a rockin' English accent... ;)

...photos from a trip to La Connor to see the tulips. This is the 3rd year that {S} and I have taken the little ones up for an afternoon in April. Needless to say, I think they were more excited about the muddy fields then the flowers....lol. (And our husbands were glad that they did not have to accompany us on our jaunt around the tulip fields!)
